Texas MedClinic is a pioneer in urgent care medicine, opening its first location in San Antonio in 1982. Texas MedClinic has grown to 13 locations in San Antonio, two in New Braunfels, one in Spring Branch, two in Austin, and one in Round Rock. A former emergency room physician, Texas MedClinic Founder Dr. Bernard T. Swift, Jr., recognized the need to treat minor emergencies after hours when physician’s offices were closed, freeing hospital emergency rooms to take care of the severely injured and sick.
