Urgent Care For Your Work-Related Injuries
When on-the-job accidents happen, businesses need a trusted urgent care center where their employees receive comprehensive medical care when they need it, where they need it.
In response to the COVID19 pandemic, Texas MedClinic has aggressively moved forward to provide Telemedicine(TM) as an option for follow-up visits for Work Related Injuries (WRI).
Beginning April 6, all 19 of our clinic locations are providing this option. A TM visit is contingent on both the treating physician and the patient agreeing that it is a reasonable choice. Even if a patient/injured worker chooses the TM option at the time of their in-clinic visit, they can still change their mind and opt to be seen in person.
Patients/injured workers will be able to use their own personal handheld device for the TM visit, provided that it’s allowed by their employer’s company policy. We will continue to provide assessment for INITIAL WRI in-person, as we strongly believe that the physical exam is an important source of information to form our medical opinion and develop a plan of treatment.
We continue to keep the safety of our staff, your employees and our patients top-of-mind. We are well-stocked in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in particular, masks. We require all patients and visitors to wear a mask throughout their visit to the clinic.
We encourage those needing services to register for a visit on-line on our website www.texasmedclinic.com Checking-in On-line substantially reduces the amount of time an individual has to spend in the clinic. This is a good thing, even when worry about infection is not a constant concern.
We remain open for business at all 19 locations during our usual hours; 8 AM-11 PM, 7 days-per-week. Our 3 San Antonio 24-hour locations remain open 24 hours each day.
Our full complement of work injury and Occupational Medicine Services are available. We remain one of the few sites able to provide testing for COVID-19 through our lab partners, though currently results for this testing are taking 6 days due to backlogs at the lab. Our physicians and providers are very knowledgeable regarding the constantly changing advice from public health officials including the County Health Districts, Texas Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Center for Disease and Control (CDC).
We know many businesses have been forced to close, or at least curtail much of their business operations. Our communities, our families and our businesses are suffering. We at Texas MedClinic remain committed to providing needed Occupational and Urgent Care Services in our communities.
