Tips for ACL

September 29, 2016

We all know that Texas weather can change over night but it looks like it is going to be perfect for the opening weekend of ACL! As thousands descend upon Central Texas during the next two weekends, we want to do what we do best and make sure you are prepared for life’s little emergencies.

1. Know your surroundings.  We are sure that you have already been looking at it but here is the ACL map to get you familiar with event locations, as well as medical tents. And, if you are coming in from out of town you can find all 17 of our locations in Central Texas at www.texasmedclinic.com/locations/south-texas-urgent-care-locations.php.

2. While it’s not going to be too hot, it is still very important to make sure you are drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated during the event. With the parking situation, it’s a good possibility that you will have some walking ahead of you before you even get to the event and when you’re finally there going from stage to stage it is easy to forget to drink water.  Bring your own bottle or purchase a keepsake at the festival because ACL will have free water filling stations next to the Rock Island Hideaway and on the north end of the main field.

3. A few things to think about.  You may want to consider the following when you are planning what all you need for the festival.  Keep in mind, there are lockers available to rent if you get to the festival and you’ve discovered you’ve brought too much. But, it’s always better to be prepared!

-Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, or other means to protect your skin from overexposure to the sun

-Wear practical footwear that is comfortable and closed toed

-Pack your own toilet paper, because port-o-potty’s aren’t the most reliable

-Bring hand sanitizer and wipes, just because that’s always a good idea

We hope you have a safe festival weekend and remember that if you are not feeling well during or after the festival, stop by and see us. Be safe and enjoy the music!
