Texas MedClinic Adopts a 24 Hour Schedule at the Forum

April 1, 2014

Texas MedClinic is extending the hours at its clinic at The Forum, 8341 Agora Parkway, to 24-hours, seven days a week to provide around-the-clock, affordable medical access and treatment for San Antonio residents. The new hours take effect on Tuesday, April 1, 2014.

Dr. Bernard T. Swift, Jr., owner of Texas MedClinic, says, “Our third 24-hour location will serve the Selma/Schertz area.  This clinic location is easily assessable from the north bound access of IH-35 North. Employers will be able to utilize this clinic for the treatment of work related injuries, and patients will be able to receive treatment for urgent medical injuries or illnesses.  As with all of our locations, patients will always be seen by a physician.”

The Forum clinic is the third location in San Antonio adopting a 24-hour schedule and joins the clinic at Loop 1604N/Culebra (6530 W. Loop 1604 N) and the one on Wurzbach/ IH-10 (9885 IH-10 West).

Texas MedClinic can treat a variety of urgent medical problems such as fractures, lacerations, strains, sprains, contusions, insect bites, animal bites, burns, scrapes, eye injuries, joint dislocations, earaches, asthma, influenza, abdominal pain, sore throats and many more common maladies such as the potentially serious staph skin infection MRSA (Methicillin-resistant S. aureus).  The clinics have computerized X-ray, EKG and a lab for routine diagnostic problems.

Dr. Swift adds,” Don’t let your inconvenient injury or illness affect your quality of care. Even after-hours, patients are always been seen by a physician at Texas MedClinic.

And our best advice is to not waste time and money at a freestanding emergency room or a typical emergency room in a hospital setting just because it’s very late or very early. Texas MedClinic is here to provide you quality, affordable care, day and night.”

Texas MedClinic was established in 1982 by Dr. Bernard T. Swift, Jr., as a group medical practice that specializes in urgent care and occupational medicine. In addition, the practice provides sports and travel medicine services. Texas MedClinic currently has 12 urgent care clinics in San Antonio, one in New Braunfels, two in Austin and one which recently opened in Round Rock.
