Texas MedClinic is a group medical practice specializing in Urgent Care and Occupational medicine. We have clinic located in San Antonio, Austin, New Braunfels and Round Rock. As a growing organization, we are invested in adding qualified physicians to our group. Candidates should be Board Certified or Board eligible in a specialty area, such as Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics or Occupational Medicine is preferred but not required.

Texas MedClinic is owned and managed by physicians, who continue to remain actively involved in clinical practice. The perspective of the practicing physician is thereby integral to each business decision we make.
Each physician is expected to treat very young patients (usually older than six weeks) to the elderly, although Medicare patients make up a very small percentage of our total patient visits. We provide Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine and Travel Medicine services. We are not providers of longitudinal care for chronic medical problems, such as Diabetes, Hypertension or Hyperlipidemia. We have found, historically, that few physicians have experience in all of these areas. However, we are able to provide a supportive clinical environment in which physicians can learn any additional skills needed.
Our focus is on hiring full-time physicians who will typically work about 40 hours per week. Physicians usually have a set schedule, Monday through Friday, which includes one weekday off. They will work one of several shifts (on the remaining four days), depending on the needs of the clinic where they are assigned. All physicians average one shift per weekend, which are scheduled around family or personal needs and availability. Depending on the location, shifts Monday through Friday normally include 8am to 5pm, 9am to 5pm, 10am to 6pm, 12pm to 8pm, or 4pm to 11pm. While most physicians have a set schedule and location, we also hire “floating” physicians, who have a more varied schedule.
We also hire physicians to work on a part-time basis, typically involving one afternoon/evening shift each week and four to five weekend shifts each month.
Physicians are considered employees of our company and are compensated with incentive-based pay with a guaranteed minimum, thus benefiting those with a strong work ethic. Physicians are offered paid health and Malpractice insurance. In addition, after six months of employment, physicians are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) retirement plan that has an employer match and is vested upon enrollment.
Texas MedClinic has been successful in negotiating favorable contracts with most of the large managed care companies in the region. One direct result of these contracts is better pay than most other PCP’s in the area, who are either in private practice or who work in other employment situations.
